Steven Victor Tallarico, better known for his stage name, Steven Tyler, is a 67 year old American singer, songwriter, musician and TV personality. Although he has been a part of many projects, he is most famous for his role as lead singer and front man for Aerosmith and as a judge on the long-running TV singing competition American Idol. Although you don’t hear as many stories about male celebrities who fall prey to the addictive charm of cosmetic surgery, Steven Tyler is certainly one of those rare cases. In fact, the Steven Tyler plastic surgery history is quite well documented, as the results are obvious.

At 67 years old and not looking forward to slow down, Steven Tyler has been dealing with the press for a long time, especially because, like his career, his appearance goes through constant changes. However, while other male celebrities would go pale if caught getting cosmetic enhancements, Steven isn’t embarrassed of his long list of plastic surgeries, which include various face lifts, Botox and fillers, at least, if rumors are to be believed.

Steven Tyler plastic surgery before and after

While Steven himself only really mentioned having Botox, the truth is, looking at before and after pictures – from his early career and his stint on American Idol, for instance – fans and critics can tell a lot of differences, which fuel Steven Tyler plastic surgery rumors. Some say he may have had a nose job, because his nose looks somewhat thinner these days, others seem to find his lips bigger, suggesting he’s had implants or fillers. However, most only believe Steven’s had non-invasive procedures like Botox and cheek fillers.

Looking at his recent pictures, it isn’t hard to believe that Steven, whose eyes seem to be getting smaller by the minute, while his forehead stays incredibly smooth, yet unmoving, has had Botox injections. Also, looking at his bag-free under eyes and plump cheeks, one can easily back the Steven Tyler cheek fillers theory. Some say, however, that he’s also had relaxation procedures done, and that he’s probably also gone through a few face lifts, which have very similar results. To sum up, the question here isn’t whether Steven Tyler has had plastic surgery, or even what and how many procedures he’s had done, but rather if they were successful.

In this respect, opinions are divided. It is undeniable that Steven looks younger and generally in better shape than he did a short few years ago, and his look definitely works in photos and on television. It does, however, look quite unnatural and ’plastic’, which is why a lot of people consider that the legendary rocker has gone too far and that his is a mild case of bad plastic surgery. This is a position defended by many, especially those who are against plastic surgery, but it is quite debatable, seeing as Tyler looked quite tired and maybe even older than his energy and personality would suggest.

Given Steven’s personality and his role on TV, one could also argue that the younger, more polished look agrees a lot more with him and the life he’s living now, even if it makes him look a little plastic.

So are the Steven Tyler plastic surgery procedures a good work or an ambitious mistake? The answer to that question depends on the perspective of the ones judging and commenting.
