We all know the pressure that is on people in the spotlight to always look their best. In fact research has found that more and more men are going under the knife in order to look good. But there are instances where celebrities go a little off the rails and end up looking unrecognizable from their former selves (Renée Zellweger anyone?). The example of this we are looking at today is Lark Voorhies plastic surgery.
Lark took a bit of a break from the spotlight and wasn’t really seen over the past few years but when she did finally make a public appearance the plastic surgery speculation went into overdrive as few people could recognize her from when she played Lisa Turtle in the hit TV show Saved By The Bell.
The rumors of surgery haven’t been confirmed but there are noticeable differences in her appearance from over the past few years and while some of them can be put down to makeup disasters, others seem a little more notable. Regardless of her talents, Lark has come back into the limelight thanks to all the speculation.
So what plastic surgery has Lark had done?
Lark not only made a name for herself in Saved By The Bell but notably when she featured in several music videos afterwards. In these videos she appeared as a beautiful and sexy woman. After this she disappeared from the public eye and her mother has spoken out about her dealing with mental health issues. As we mentioned, when she did come back her physical appearance seemed completely different.
Of course age plays a part and it should be noted that she is 40-years-old now. But that shouldn’t explain why she looks almost unrecognizable. Comparing images of her appearance over the years has led many to conclude that she has had several procedures done, including:
– A nose job
– Eyelid surgery
– Filler and botox injections
While these procedures aren’t particularly unusual anymore, there are still instances where surgery doesn’t go to plan and the results are less subtle. Many people feel her nose is different to what it looked like in previous years and her eyes look fuller, which is usually the result of eye-lift surgery. Botox and filler are commonly used to plump the face up and remove any wrinkles or lines and Lark has no wrinkles on her face and it seems slightly puffy and swollen. The result is that her whole face appears to be different now and this is the type of surgery that isn’t subtle that a lot of celebrities manage to either get away with or only have mild speculation.
There have been other instances where Lark has made appearances and her skin has seemed significantly lighter, adding to the fuel that she may have had skin lightening. Though in her defense there are definite occasions where it looks as though she has been at the mercy of an in-experienced makeup artist or even done her own makeup and this perhaps highlights different features of her face.
